What we publish
Essence publishes original editorial material about ideas found in books: explanations, analysis, practical takeaways and connections between topics.
What we do not publish
We do not host full copyrighted texts, scans, EPUB/PDF files, audiobooks, long sequential extracts, or third-party illustrations and covers without the appropriate rights.
Titles and authors
Book titles, author names, publication dates and other bibliographic information are used to identify works and help readers navigate the library.
Quotations
If a short quotation is used in the future, it should be limited to what is necessary, attributed to the source and used for analysis, criticism or explanation.
Public domain
Works in the public domain may be treated differently, but modern translations, editions and designs can have separate protection.
Rights holders
If a rights holder believes a specific passage infringes their rights, the project should provide a clear contact route and promptly review the disputed material.
